Authorize.net is the gateway stores pick when they already have a merchant account from their bank or want one, because the gateway and the processing are separate. The official WooCommerce extension by SkyVerge handles cards and eChecks with Accept.js so card data never touches your server, saves payment methods with the Customer Profiles API, supports WooCommerce Subscriptions and Pre-Orders, and can capture authorised payments from the order screen. Authorize.net charges $25 a month plus 2.9% + 30¢ on its all-in-one plan, or $25 a month plus 10¢ per transaction when you bring your own merchant account.
